“Years of love have been forgotten, in the hatred of a minute”- Edgar Allan Poe.
Upon reading this quotation, I just realized how true it is. This is something I have been watching since I was a little girl. Relations for which we often hurt others and make huge sacrifices, often lead us to the point where a single misunderstanding make people forget thousands of moments shared with love. I wonder why is it so? It is so painful. This doesn’t mean to say that one should not make relations. But instead, one should not let go of that love, so easily just because of a single moment of anger. I have experienced that when you forgive you are healed but if you keep that anger and resentment in your heart, it burns inside like a flame. And as a result, you get restlessness and depression. Life is very short, spend it by spreading happiness and love instead of spreading hatred. We never know how long we will live. So it’s better to acknowledge the ones we love, instead of regretting after they are gone.
